UBC, 1969, BSc, Agriculture


Jim Campbell was born in Vanderhoof, BC, in 1948, and obtained the degree of BSc (Agr) with a Major in Plant Science in 1969.

Jim’s professional career has been with the BC Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Fisheries, where he is currently Tree Fruit and Grape Specialist in Oliver , BC . He has worked for the Okanagan Valley Tree Fruit Authority in the coordination of the replant program and is still active in the program. BCMAFF responsibilities include coordination of industry development initiatives with the tree fruit and grape industries. He also owns and operates a 20 acre orchard in Osoyoos, BC. Jim’s publications include “Replant Yield and Price Survey” and “Overview of Fumigation”, both published by the Okanagan Valley Tree Fruit Authority.

He and wife MaryAnne reside in Osoyoos, BC, and they have one daughter (Katherine) and one son (Adam), both currently attending UBC.
