Donald Biggin was born in Vancouver in 1949 and received a BSc (Agr) with Majors in Agricultural Economics and Animal Science. His career to date has been spent in the seed business in BC, Northern Alberta and Saskatchewan. A career highlight was the opportunity of working with and for Angus Richardson for around 18 of those 25 years. Don served as President of the Western Canada Turfgrass Association (1987-88) and as President of the Canadian Seed Trade Association (1998-99).

Donald and wife Liz reside in Delta, BC, and they have two daughters, Anna and Laura.
