Brian Haddow was born in Dawson Creek, BC, in 1954 and received a BSc (Agr) with a Major in Agricultural Economics in 1978. During his student years he served on the Aggie Council.
After graduation Brian farmed and helped to run the BC Mobile Farm Management Workshops. He ran for Provincial politics in 1996. In October, 2000, he took up a position with PFRA/Agriculture and AgriFood Canada in Dawson Creek. Community service includes participation with Kiwanis.
Among Brian’s memories of student life at UBC were: membership of the CUD, Blue Flame and Ravers Clubs; the “Hole in the Wall”; Blue Aggie Sweaters; Chariot Races; The Great Race; Chugging contests; painting the Engineering stone; taking in the Engineers’ Lady Godiva Ride; and stealthily escaping security.
Brian and wife Susan reside in Dawson Creek, BC, and they have one son (Russel James) and one daughter (Rae Elisabeth).
